Healing Hands

The inspiration for this drawing came from my friend who asked me to create an art piece which became a source of hope as his wife fought for her life in the hospital. He stated that he read the following verse over and over within a two-month period. “And Jesus … went up into the mountain and sat down there. And great multitudes came unto Him, having with them those that were lame, blind, dumb, maimed, and many others, and cast them down at Jesus’ feet; and he healed them…” Matthew 15:29-30. I usually do not take on art commissions, but this was different. My wife and I were also with them regularly during the hospitalization. I accepted the challenge because it was part of me as well. This digital drawing also helped me reflect on the healing miracles Jesus grants to us all. This artwork was created from one of my acrylic paintings as a background and digital art using the Sketches Drawing app.
